The project
A workplace designed to bring people together.
Vitaeris needed a Vancouver office for a team that worked predominantly remotely. In a footprint of approximately 2,000 square feet, the workplace had to make in-person time useful: somewhere to meet, work alongside colleagues and step away for focused tasks.
Working with Aliki Gladwin & Associates, Blackburn Young supplied and installed Knoll furniture for a mix of shared and individual settings. The result is a compact workplace with room for several ways of working, unified by a distinctive blue palette.

The brief
Make the most of time together.
A predominantly remote team did not need a conventional office filled only with assigned desks. The space needed to support meetings and informal conversation, while still offering workstations and private rooms for individual work.
The furniture
Settings that shift with the day.
Knoll's Rockwell Unscripted collection provides flexible places to gather, including modular lounge seating and tables for less formal meetings. Antenna workstations give the team dedicated surfaces for focused work, with seating suited to the different settings.
BYOS contribution
Furniture across a compact floorplate.
Blackburn Young's role was the supply and installation of the furniture. The Knoll program brings together workstations, shared tables and lounge pieces within the design team's workplace plan, without asking any one area to serve every purpose.
