The project
A decade of working together.
Blackburn Young had been working with Baker Tilly for approximately ten years before its 2024 Vancouver expansion, supporting the firm through a series of smaller renovations and workplace changes.
Those projects created a long-standing relationship and a strong understanding of how Baker Tilly worked. But they also meant that parts of the existing workplace had evolved incrementally over time.
The 2024 expansion presented a different opportunity: to approach a larger portion of the workplace as one coordinated project.
The expansion
An opportunity to think about the whole.
Working alongside M Moser, Blackburn Young provided planning and specification, procurement, project management, delivery and installation across the expanded workplace.
The scope brought together Knoll private offices and workstations, Falkbuilt architectural interiors, and ancillary furniture for collaborative areas.
Rather than addressing individual areas as separate renovations, the project allowed the furniture, architectural interiors and shared spaces to be considered together—creating a more cohesive environment across the expanded office.

From specification and coordination through installation, the project was executed smoothly by the Blackburn Young team.
