When Fallon, a downtown Minneapolis advertising agency, moved to its new office, the Company worked with Knoll dealer, Parameters, Ltd., and design firm, Gensler, to create a collaborative space with a social, creative aesthetic. Antenna® Workspaces Big Table and Antenna® Workspaces storage solutions were chosen for part of the Company's open plan office. Antenna® Workspaces, which suggests connections and boundaries between diverse work areas, reflects the freedom and mobility people seek in today's office (cover).
Dividends Horizon® with open weave fabric screens were also selected for the Company's workstations and delineates space with strong horizontal lines and a visual lightness. Calibre Wardrobe towers and pedestals organize and personalize the workstations.
The Company's private offices feature a mix of Dividends Horizon®, which offers planning opportunities to optimize users' relationships to their workspace, and wall mounted Reff Profiles™ storage solutions, which deliver a progressive, efficient architectural presence (left). Calibre lateral files provides additional storage and the fluid, structural form of the Saarinen Executive Chair provides guest seating throughout the office. Allseating Corporation announced today the introduction of the You Midback task chair to its standard offering – designed by Allseating's In-House Design Team in Toronto.
With its sleek profile, distinctive cast aluminum outer back and an innovative back suspension system, You is the chair designed with you in mind. Turning the activation dial causes the flexible internal frame to straighten or bow, providing the necessary support and lift to create the ideal convex curve that conforms to the user's back.
“The innovative active lumbar support of the You chair lifts and supports the spine, specifically the upper part of the spine,” explains Chris Binnendyk, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Allseating. “The result – a truly unique office chair that decompresses the spine. That's what the YOU chair is all about. By integrating aesthetics, technology and ergonomics, the YOU chair mimics the lifting of your rib cage resulting in lightness for the sit bones and reduced compression in the lumbar area.”
Allseating Design has taken all the visual cues from the already popular You chair and re-engineered it into a elegant midback version. These details include hidden connections, tailoring to produce clean lines, and no gaps all held by hidden fasteners.
It features a synchronous motion mechanism with intuitive adjustments that tailors the chair's tilt resistance to personal size, weight and preference. Restyled castings that provide an aesthetically pleasing detail. An active lumbar support with back height adjustment (most chairs have a passive lumbar support, only filling the space to support the end user's lumbar) and value plus finishes.
You Midback is available with a choice of colored mesh backs or Allseating's popular black honeycomb mesh. The frame is offered in Polished Aluminum or Black-Coated Aluminum with black nylon base.
Like all other Allseating products, the new You Midback chair was designed with the environment in mind.
- Meets the most stringent GREENGUARD® Certification for Children & Schools Indoor Air Quality
- 80.5 percent recyclable based on options
- 24 percent recycled content.
The You Collection is manufactured in North America.
