Protecting the environment for future generations is Global Contract’s commitment — Providing businesses with products that, through their entire life cycle, minimize the negative impacts on our environment.

  • We maintained legal compliance to all applicable environmental legislations and regulations.
  • We donated a Zooey Chair to the World Wildlife Fund Auction for Nature to help preserve healthy habitat and biodiversity.
  • We maintained "GREENGUARD" Certification, which meet the LEED-CI requirements for indoor air quality.
  • We maintained "ECOLOGO" Certification, which is a symbol of environmentally preferred products.
  • We replaced the harmful salt used to melt ice in winter with an environmentally friendly product.
  • We replaced all solvent-based glues with water-based.
  • We use a waterless printing process on 100% recycled paper for our Price Lists where possible.
  • We have reduced our hydro and natural gas consumption.
  • We recycled all of our electronic waste (monitors, hard drives etc.), which were re-furbished and reused
  • Planted trees via the Tree Foundation of Canada due to our recycling of paper and cartridges (printer and photocopier)
  • We recycled and diverted from landfill raw material waste including fabric scraps wood, sawdust, cardboard, plastic, aluminum, steel, foam and fiber, leather, vinyl and fine paper, cans and bottles.
  • We recycled our powdered paint waste, which was used to paint secondary parts.
  • Global Contract Inc. diverts from landfill, an average of 84% of the waste generated through our source separation and recycling program.
